 Uganda
The Rev. Dr. Carolyn Langford

Carolyn Langford is from the the Parish of Combermere, in the Diocese of Ottawa. She left Ottawa in the fourth week of January 2006, to take up a placement at Central Buganda University. She has since moved to Ankole Western Institute in the Diocese of West Ankole, where she teaches in the Animal Health and Production program and is a member of the clergy team at Emmanuel Church, Kabwohe.

 Tanzania
Bruce and Gerry Melville

Bruce and Gerry Melville are from the Parish of St. John the Divine in Victoria, BC, Diocese of British Columbia. They arrived in Tanzania on the last day of August, 2007, to begin a year's placement as teachers at Canon Andrea Mwaka School.

CAMS is a Christian School in Dodoma, Tanzania. Students come from a range of ethnic and religous backgrounds. The school delivers the British Curriculum, teaching in English.

Joanne Chaytor Simfukwe

Joanne became Mrs. Jacob Simfukwe on October 28, 2006. Go to Joanne's website for more stories and pictures.

Mrs. Simfukwe is from the Diocese of Eastern Newfoundland and Labrador. Joanne is our first VIM from Newfoundland. She will return to Canada in the fall of 2007.

Uganda
The Rev. Canon Paul Jeffries

The Rev. Canon Paul Jeffries is from the Diocese of Fredericton. He served at St. Paul’s Theological College in Kapsabet, Kenya, from 1994 to 1995, and 1996 to 1997. He then departed Canada in early May 1998 to teach at Bishop McAllister College, in the Diocese of West Ankole, Church of the Province of Uganda. He is presently the Principal of Bishop McAllister College.

A Lutheran Partner

Margaret Sadler is the former ecumenical partner on the Partners In Mission Committee. She and her husband, Marcus, are serving with the Lutheran World Federation in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and includes us in her letter home
